Check-in guests on your mobile device
Check in guests at the door on a phone, tablet or laptop. Distribute rewards to your members as they come in.
Setup
Create a check-in area a little bit in from the street, to give breathing room for any lines.
Lay your member rewards on a table nearby and visible.
Make sure to set up where door staff will have access a reliable cell phone signal or wifi.
Get Started
Touch the "Guest List" icon on your event.
Organizers: Add staff to your event
Touch the team icon to invite your door staff to this event
The check-in tool will automatically sync across the devices of all of your staff.
When you add staff in this manner, they have access to this specific event only.
Staff: Accept your invite to this event
Once you're invited to the event, check your email for a mail with the subject that begins with "Withfriends added you as a collaborator", sent by support@withfriends.co. You may have to check spam.
Click Manage Guests to begin!
You can also log into withfriends.co with the same email address the invite was sent to. You'll see buttons to check in guests in places like your dashboard, your events tab, and on the public event page.
🆕 Add Staff by Link
In addition to easily being able to add staff with a name and email, you can now add staff just by sharing a link with them; by text, messenger, or however you're in touch with the group of people helping you manage the door.
Check in attendees
Use the search bar to type in a guest’s name and check them in, or scroll down to find them in alphabetical order by last name.
Names appear with a checkbox for each guest. Touch the checkbox to check in each guest. Checkboxes light up green to indicate they are checked in.
When you're done with this guest, touch the X to clear the search bar.
Distribute member rewards
When you see a reward icon, touch the icon to distribute rewards to your member.
We intelligently determine if this is the first event the guest is attending since they became a member.
Manage Attendees by Ticket Tier
If you have multiple tiers for your event you can sort your attendees by tier to make check in more efficient.
Simply click the arrow next to the number of guests in the event dashboard:
Then sort by ticket type or date:
Scan Barcodes
For a faster check-in at your events, you can scan tickets from your mobile device
No internet connection? Use our print guest list.
The print button will produce a PDF with alphabetized ticketbuyer names, guests, and member rewards.
If you opt to use a print list, you may need to close the digital ticket sales once the event begins. Edit the event, and click the On Sale toggle off to digital ticket sales.
Pro Tip #1 : Reward Pickup
Click the member badge icon on the bottom for a list of rewards to have ready at member table or at the door.
Pro Tip #2: Export Guests
Export the guest list to a CSV so that you can import into Mailchimp, Google Sheets, or elsewhere. (Desktop Only)
🍥Known Issues

The search bar may can disappear off-screen in some mobile device. Simply scroll up to fix this!

When you check in just 1 of multiple guests in a row, the green check will move to the leftmost checkbox after a few seconds

If you check in and uncheck in someone really fast, it may not register, you'll see it remain green. Repeat, but chiller this time.

The total guest count may drift 1 or 2 guests off per device for a short time if you have door staff team. It will correct itself.

For large check-ins ( > 400 guests) you must use iPhone6S (2015) or later, or an Android device manufactured since 2015.
